Nard has a feature pack add-on which is optional but quite nice to have because it simplifies the development process. Here is what it contains:
xmas.py from Raspbian |
Libraries, APIs and some of the demo tools for accessing the GPU VideoCore. What has been ported so far are:
hello_video | A simple video player (lacking audio unfortunately). ffmpeg can convert most formats to it (H.264). |
hello_teapot | Displays a spinning teapot |
hello_tiger | Displays a spinning tiger |
tvservice | Controll of the HDMI and composite video outputs |
vcgencmd | System information |
Enable tools with PKGS_APPS += videocore-libs/videocore-libs-0.01 in your product recipe.
Nard depends on donations. No funding – no Nard. That is why downloading the add-on requires a donating support membership (no commitments, cancel anytime). After subscribing below you'll get access to a separate download area. Remember though that unlike rest of Nard, the add-on isn't fully open source. While you may modify it for private products as you wish, passing it on to others is prohibited.
